Introduction to Adobe Edge

Adobe Edge is a new web motion and interaction design tool that allows designers to bring animated content to websites, using web standards like HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.

Megan Fister, CPAUG Manager, will introduce you to Adobe Edge (v. Preview 3)

  • Learn what Adobe Edge is and what it can do for you and your workflow
  • Get familiar with the Adobe Edge interface & timeline
  • Explore Edge’s current capabilities using demo projects & reviewing code created with Edge
  • Learn how to add animation to an existing HTML template
  • Additionally, we’ll discuss some of the controversy surrounding Edge including the press reports that “Edge is a ‘Flash Killer’” and “Designers vs Developers” and being able to create animation without touching HTML5 & JS code.

September 2011 Meeting Recap, Recording & Notes: Adobe Flash Games

Thanks to those who attended for braving the rain and traffic to come out to the meeting and especially to Tamara Eyster for presenting on Adobe Flash Games for Education.    Tamara graciously agreed to record her presentation via Adobe Connect so you can view it at your leisure at http://experts.adobeconnect.com/p5nuu5rhdff/.   Additionally, her website http://www.ramshillfarm.com/Math/index.html has just about everything you could need to view the Flash games she created including code files, presentation slides and PDF papers along with many links to the resources and seminars she found valuable when creating her games.

Some of the resources Tamara found especially useful were:
